Brown Elementary Library: Library Volunteers

Library information and resources for students, staff, and parents of Brown Elementary School

Volunteers are valued!

Dear Families,

I am excited to invite you to volunteer in our elementary school library! I am seeking 1-2 volunteers per class in grades K-2. Your involvement will not only enrich our students' learning experiences but will also help foster a love for reading and learning.

As a volunteer, you will perform general library tasks such as:

  • checking in and checking out books

  • shelving and organizing books

  • assisting students in finding resources

  • helping with special library projects

Please keep in mind what else volunteering entails:

  • respecting student privacy–all volunteers maintain confidentiality and create a safe, welcoming environment for our students

  • committing to volunteering weekly or every other week

  • assisting the whole class, not just your own child

  • completing a background CORI check through our front office and having it cleared before volunteering

Your support in the library is invaluable, and I look forward to working together to enhance our school's reading culture! If you are interested in volunteering, please email me directly at dkreiserfrancis@natickps.org

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference in our students' lives!

Sincerely,

Deborah Kreiser-Francis
