Students are able to effectively communicate their knowledge of and experiences with a rigorous social studies curriculum that cultivates an awareness of the roles and responsibilities of a citizen. Students are empowered to use this awareness to contribute to the world as empathetic, resilient, and responsible citizens who think critically, work collaboratively, engage actively, and take initiative in our community and world.
Mission Statement (Draft)
We will develop a robust and rigorous K-12 social studies curriculum that is rich in literacy standards, steeped in social justice, and incorporates the Profile of a Graduate competencies in an equitable, interdisciplinary framework. We will provide all students K-12 with engaging, authentic service learning experiences with opportunities for deep inquiry and civic engagement.
